$41.85 a barrel: Crude prices at all-time high
New
York: The price of crude oil reached an all-time peak
of 41.85 dollars a barrel overnight. US light crude reached
$41.85 a barrel while London's Brent crude climbed 34
cents to hit $38.20 a barrel.
The
US is leading consumer countries' calls on the OPEC cartel
to release more supply to safeguard against inflation
and a slowdown in economic growth.
