Markets: Going through the motions
The Sensex shed 74 points to close at 4932. The Nifty lost closed at 1,544, down 24 points from Wednesday's close. In the meantime, BSE has confirmed that the pay-in and payout for Monday's trade have been successfully completed, indicating that despite the historic market crash, there have not been any defaults on payments in the exchange.

Union Bank and Reliance MF tie up
Mumbai: Reliance Mutual Fund and Union Bank of India (UBI) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the distribution of Reliance Mutual Fund's schemes through the bank's selected branches. A company press release stated that 65 branches of UBI have been identified for the delivery of this service.
