Award for MphasiS top brass

Mumbai: Jerry Rao, Chairman and CEO of MphasiS, and Jeroen Tas, Vice-Chairman of MphasiS, have been awarded the Ernst & Young entrepreneur of the year 2004 in the information technology category for the New York region. The prestigious award has been instituted by professional services from Ernst & Young LLP.

The New York award winners are now eligible for consideration for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2004 national programme, informed a release. The overall national Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award winner is considered for the world event held in Monte Carlo.

Parthiv Patel to don gloves for Reliance
Ahmedabad: Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) has chosen the Indian wicket-keeper batsman, Parthiv Patel, as the first sports personality to join the company. Patel would join the company rolls in the capacity of Executive, Sports and Culture.

For the 19-year-old Patel, who has been unable to appear for his 12th standard examinations for the past two years due to his cricketing pre-occupations, the Reliance job is expected to provide security, especially on the financial front. According to RIL officials, Patel's job with Reliance would be for keeps no matter whether he continued in the Indian team or not, as he was not being inducted as a brand ambassador.
