Mumbai: Benchmark BSE index Sensex ended the session
with just a minor gain of 3.78 points today. At the National
Stock Exchange, the 50 stock Nifty index closed with a
gain of 0.26 per cent or 3.95 points at 1518.30.

Hutch
to go in for Rs 1,500 crore IPO at year end
New Delhi: Cellular service provider Hutchison
Essar is planning to raise about Rs 1,500 crore through
an initial public offering by the end of the year. The
company plans to offload 10 per cent of its equity to
the public in one of the biggest float in the telecom
sector.
Hutchison is planning to expand its services in three
more circles to take its cellular network to 14 circles
by the end of year. As a precursor to the IPO, Hutch has
moved the Foreign Investment Promotion Board to consolidate
group companies under a single entity.

Kotak
Mahindra MF launches fund of funds
Mumbai: Kotak Mahindra Mutual Fund has launched
the Kotak Equity Fund of Funds (FoF). Kotak Equity FoF
is a multi manager fund of funds that will invest in diversified
equity schemes. Its portfolio will comprise both large
caps and aggressive diversified equity schemes across
all mutual fund houses in India.
Kotak Securities, the designated agency to the fund, will
periodically provide independent and objective recommendations
about equity schemes. No more than 25 per cent of the
fund will be invested in any one scheme, according to
the offer document of the fund. The initial public offer
for the fund will remain open from July 1 - 19. The fund
charges an entry load of 2.25 per cent.
