Infosys' Europe head joins iGate
Bangalore: A top Infosys executive has joined iGate Global to head its global sales. Srinjay Sengupta, an Infosys veteran of eight years where he worked as VP Europe, has joined iGate as chief sales officer.

Based in London, Sengupta was managing a team of 1,500 people of Infosys with sales and project delivery responsibilities. Europe currently accounts for around 20 per cent of Infosys' $1 billion revenues. Sengupta told an Indian newspaper that iGate gives him the opportunity to play a global role.

Shanker Annaswamy is MD IBM India
Bangalore: IBM has appointed banker Shankar Annaswamy as managing director of IBM India. He takes over from Abraham Thomas who has been appointed vice president for IBM's Global small and medium business (GSMB) ASEAN/South Asia, based in Singapore.

Annaswamy will report to Satish Khatu, general manager, IBM ASEAN / South Asia. The appointments are effective mid-July 2004. According to IBM India, Annaswamy will be responsible for the operations of IBM India, including all product and services divisions as well as the company's sales and distribution.

He joins IBM from GE Medical Systems (GEMS) where he served as president and chief executive officer for GEMS South Asia and managing director Wipro-GEMS.
