New Delhi: Representatives of the broking community

Day
traders' strike: Infosys Q1 result plays spoilsport
Mumbai: With a section of the day traders refraining
from active trading the trading volumes were affected
only marginally at the stock exchanges The response to
the strike was lukewarm, as the Finance Minister, P. Chidambaram
had already stated that he was open to review the transaction
tax. The good financial results announced by Infosys Technologies
also would have taken the wind out of the striker's sails.
