FIIs
net sellers in equities and debt for the week
Mumbai:
The foreign institutional investors registered net
sales of Rs 151.8 crore (US $29.1 million) in equities
and Rs 5.6 crore ($1.2 million) in debt for the week ended
July 16. Mutual Funds (MFs) were net sellers in equities
at Rs 56.7 crore. They were also net sellers in debt at
Rs 322.68 crore during the period under review, according
to data available with Securities and Exchange Board of
India here. The BSE Benchmark 30-share Index ended the
week at 4951.17 as against last weekend's close of 4945.48,
netting a gain of 5.69 points.
