Markets stay on the right side of the 5,000 marker
Mumbai:
The BSE Sensex ended the day at 5073.34 points, a gain of 19.05 points over its close on Thursday. Correspondingly, the Nifty moved up by 3.50 points to breach the 1600-point mark and end at 1601.6 points.

CSE now more forthcoming with regard to information
Kolkata: The Calcutta Stock Exchange management has said that it would provide its members with critical information in line with the decision taken at the recent EGM. The exchange authorities said that copies of the draft memorandum and articles of association would now be made available to members for inspection and making copies.

SBI Mutual to launch 'Emerging Sector Fund'
Kochi: Next month the SBI Mutual Fund will launch the 'Emerging Sector Fund', a new scheme to invest in emerging sectors such as business process outsourcing, auto ancillaries and biotechnology.
The bank said that the new scheme has received necessary approvals from the Securities and Exchange Board of India.
