Premji, Ambani and Nilekani in Forbes' power list
London:
According to the latest issue of the Fortune magazine, Azim Premji of Wipro, Mukesh Ambani of Reliance and Nandan Nilekani of Infosys have been chosen as the 'Most Powerful People in Business in Asia's Power 25' list. While the magazine has Premji ranked tenth, it has Ambani at the 13th spot and Nilekani at the 23rd place. These placings are a considerable jump over last year when India had only one corporate chief in the list. Mukesh Ambani at 48 is the third youngest in Asia's Power 25 list.

Deepak Parekh takes over as chairman at Siemens
Mumbai: Siemens Ltd has appointed Deepak Parekh as its chairman, in place of F A Mehta, who retired after 16 years with the company. Mehta will however continue as a non-executive director of the company, Siemens has said in a release. The decision was take at the company's board meeting. Parekh is executive chairman of HDFC Ltd, is a non-executive chairman of a number of HDFC group companies. He is also a non-executive chairman of Glaxo Burroughs Wellcome (India) Ltd and is on the board of several companies like Castrol BP India, Hindustan Lever Ltd, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd and Indian Hotels Company Ltd.
