Raj Vattikuti takes over as CEO
at Covansys
Chennai:
Raj Vattikuti, founder and co-chairman of the US-based
Covansys Corporation, has been appointed President and
CEO from September 1. He replaces Martin C. Clague, who
served as President and CEO since 2002 and is leaving
the company to pursue other interests, according to a
company release. Covansys is a consulting and technology
services company.

Institution of Engineers head
Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh State Centre of the
Institution of Engineers (India) has elected Chandra Mohan
as Chairman and D. Hanumantha Chary as Honorary Secretary
for the 2004-05 and 2005-06 sessions. They will assume
office at the 67th AGM scheduled for October 28.

re-elected TEA President
Coimbatore: A. Sakthivel has been re-elected President
of Tirupur Exporters' Association (TEA) for another 3-year
term (2004-07). He has been its President since 1990.
According
to a release, S. Duraiswamy and N. Chandran have been
elected as Vice-Presidents, G. Karthikeyan as Secretary,
K. Manthrachalam and M.M. Sampath Kumar as Joint Secretaries
and K.A.S. Thirumurthi as Treasurer.

Wakhle
is 'Star Performer'
Bangalore: Rajiv Wakhle, Head, Product Development,
Britannia Industries Ltd (South), received the Star Performer
of the year award bestowed by LARAS (the regional master
licensee for south India of the Leadership Management
International -LMI).
The category of Client of the Year honour went to Grind
Well Norton Ltd and it was received Anand Mahajan, Managing
Director.
The awards were presented by Som Mittal, President and
CEO of Digital Global Soft Ltd at a function here on Thursday.
Started by Paul J Meyer in 1964, LMI is a premier global
people development organisation with operations in 70
countries. The organisation has presence in 15 cities
in India.
