Mike Khanna to retire from JWT- will be Chairman Emeritus
New Delhi: Mike Khanna, Chief Executive Officer, JWT India and Area Director, Central Asia, will be retiring and is being appointed as Chairman Emeritus with effect from January 2005. Colvyn Harris, currently President of Contract Advertising India, is being promoted to the top job at JWT.

Khanna has been at the helm of the advertising agency for the last 20 years, while Harris has been with the group for 24 years in several leadership positions both internationally and in India, with JWT and with Contract Advertising. Meanwhile, Jagdip Bakshi, currently the Senior Vice-President and General Manager of JWT Delhi, is being promoted as CEO of Contract Advertising.

Among other top-level changes, Kamal Oberoi, currently President of JWT India, will become the Chairman of the Group's new venture to be announced later this year. Rohit Ohri, currently Senior Vice-President and Area Director Pepsi, will replace Bakshi as General Manager of JWT Delhi.

Highlighting the importance of the Indian operations, officials will now report to Patrick Pitcher, Area Director, JWT Asia Pacific South, which will comprise 14 countries, including India, Central Asia, South East Asia and Australia.

Both Harris and Bakshi will be appointed to the new Asia Pacific Executive Board, consisting of top executives from around the region.

Zain Raj is marketing chief at Euro RSCG Chicago
Chennai: Zain Raj, who began his career at Grey Advertising, Mumbai, has been appointed Executive Vice-President and Chief Marketing Officer of Euro RSCG Chicago.

He will partner with Ron Bess, Euro RSCG Chicago CEO, and Chief Creative Officer Steffan Postaer in leading the Chicago-based agencies and the North America group of companies.

Raj will be responsible for providing strategic marketing counsel for all clients of the Chicago-based agencies as well as the Euro RSCG marketing services companies located in Atlanta, Danbury, Dallas, Portland, Carlsbad and Toronto.

Raj, was President and CEO of BrandXP, a brand and marketing consultancy, before joining Euro.

Reliance reshuffles Trevira board
Mumbai: The Reliance Group has announced a new management team for Trevira GmbH which it acquired from Deutsche Bank AG earlier this year for 80 million euros (around Rs.450 crore).

The ownership of Trevira was transferred to Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) on August 11, following the European Commission approving the acquisition.

A new supervisory board has been set with Subodh Sapra, President, Polyester Sector, RIL as Chairman. The other members of the board are Gunther Gunzenheimer and Hans-Joachim Becker. Hereafter the supervisory board will oversee the functions of the Trevira management board.

Bernd Sassenrath, who has been retained as the Chief Executive Officer would lead the management board of the newly acquired RIL group company. The other directors in the management team are Jurgen Muth, Dr Jurgen Idzko and Hemant Sharma.

Bajaj Auto inducts three new directors
Pune: Bajaj Auto Ltd has inducted three additional directors onto its board. With this, the strength of its board has gone up from 12 to 15, according to an official communication from the company.

The inducted members are Tarun Das, former Director General of CII and also Non-Executive Chairman of the Associated Cement Companies Ltd, and Haldia Petro-chemicals Ltd; Manish Kejriwal, till recently a partner in McKinsey and Company and currently Managing Director of Temasek Holdings Advisors India Pvt Ltd; and Sanjiv Bajaj, Executive Director of the company.

New retail head for Centurion Bank
Mumbai: Centurion Bank has appointed Harpreet Singh as the Head of Branch Banking and Wealth Management Services, said a press release.

Singh joins Centurion Bank from Tata Teleservices, where he was the Head of Direct Business. He will be responsible for retail business profitability, wealth management services, customer service and mortgage products.
