Bharti’s cordless phone at 2.4 Ghz
New Delhi: Bharti Teletech has rolled out the country's first cordless phone range that works on 2.4Ghz radio frequency. The new phones will provide enhanced clarity and three time better range than the traditional cordless phones.

It also prevents interference with other cordless telephones and electronic equipment - a problem common in the traditional cordless phones.

The company is looking at increasing its share in the coreless telephone market from 40 per cent to 50 per cent with sales of one million 2.4 Ghz phones over the next two years.

The move comes after the Department of Telecom de-licensed the indoor use of low power equipment at 2.4 GHz radio frequency. The range includes 3 models each of the Beetel and the GE brand.

Bharti Teletech has a strategic alliance with Atlinks (a Thomson subsidiary) to manufacture fixed line phones for global exports and exclusively distribute the GE range of fixed line phones in India.
