World Communication Award for Mukesh Ambani
Mangalore: Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Infocomm and Chairman of FLAG Telecom, has won this year's World Communication Award as the 'most influential person in telecommunications in 2004.'

A Reliance Infocomm press release has said that Ed McCormack, Executive Vice-President, Corporate Development, FLAG Telecom, received the award on behalf of Ambani in London on Monday.

Sunil Alagh takes over as AIMA President
New Delhi: Sunil Alagh, Chairman, SKA Advisors and former Managing Director of Britannia, has been appointed as the President of the All India Management Association (AIMA). He takes over the AIMA presidency from R. Gopalakrishnan, Executive Director, Tata Sons Ltd.

The team of office-bearers remains same as last year, barring one new entrant - Subir Raha, Chairman, ONGC Ltd, who has been elected as the Vice-President of the association, informs in an AIMA statement.

Other office-bearers include Sudhir Jalan, Vice Chairman, SICPA India Ltd, as Senior Vice-President and P.K. Gupta, Managing Director, Galaxy Venture Pvt Ltd, as Treasurer.

With 63 local management associations (LMAs), AIMA imparts distance management education to about 3,000 students, the release added.
