Nandwani is new ED for Capexil
New Delhi: The Commerce Ministry has appointed Sanjeev Nandwani as the new Executive Director of the Chemical and Allied Product Export Promotion Council (Capexil), following allegation of irregularities in the running of the council. The council processes exports worth $4 billion from the country.

Nandwani, is an Indian Trade Service (ITS) official and Joint Director General of Foreign Trade (JDGFT) of the Eastern Region.

Award for Sriram Bharatam
Hyderabad: Sriram Bharatam, founder CEO, Iridium Interactive, has been awarded the `YEO Kauffman Community Award' for 2004. He is the first entrepreneur from India and the first non-American member to be conferred this award.

Bharatam was given the award in recognition of his contribution towards creating an innovative Internet based fund raising model through which funds were generated for the victims of different calamities such as cyclone, earthquake etc from the year 1999.

Bharatam conducts his community activities through the `CauseanEffect Foundation', a charitable organisation founded by him. He is a member of the YEO, Hyderabad Chapter, started in March 2002. It has 33 members with representations from various businesses including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, textiles, information technology, banking and the BPO sector.
