India
initiates anti-dumping probe against Taipei
New
Delhi: India has initiated anti-dumping investigations
against imports of sodium cyanide from Chinese Taipei.
Acting
on a petition by Cyanides and Chemicals Company, the Directorate
General of Anti-dumping and Allied Duties initiated investigations
on the basis of conclusion that "there was sufficient
prime facie evidence against dumping of sodium cyanide
from Chinese Taipei."
Sodium
cyanide is mainly used by industries such as dye intermediates,
electroplating chemicals and for manufacture of heat
treatment salts.
