HC Grover elected chairman Fertiliser Association of India
New Delhi: HC Grover, vice chairman of Paradeep Phosphates and senior advisor to Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals has been elected chairman of Fertiliser Association of India.

Grover, a former managing director of KRIBHCO and Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals has been closely associated with formulation of Government policies concerning the fertiliser industry, according to a FAI release.

P S Grewal, chairman and managing director of National Fertilisers Ltd (NFL) will be the new vice-chairman of the Association.

Ackerman elected co-chairman of India Caucus
Washington: US Congressman Gary Ackerman, a Democrat from New York, was unanimously elected as co-Chairman of the India Caucus.

Ackerman is the first member from the House Caucus on India to return to that position since the caucus adopted a rotating chairmanship.

The bipartisan caucus has two co-chairmen, i.e, a Republican and a Democrat.

Ackerman was instrumental in removing nuclear-related sanctions on India and has led successful fights in the International Relations Committee and on the floor of the Congress, rallying House members to defeat assaults on the bilateral relationship by India bashers. Ackerman accompanied former US President Bill Clinton to India in 2000.
