India
and EU to extend pact in civil aviation
New Delhi: India and the European Union have
decided to extend an agreement to continue cooperation
in the civil aviation sector for two more years.
The
detailed project under the agreement is aimed at evolving
common regulations and standards on a variety of areas
like satellite navigation, mutual certification of products,
licensing procedures for pilots, manufacturing and maintenance.
The
project, worth 32 million Euros, including an eight
million Euros contribution from India, deals with specific
areas such as airport activities and pilot and instructor
training.
