Onkar Kanwar takes over as President, FICCI
New Delhi: The FICCI has a new President in Onkar S. Kanwar for 2004-05. Kanwar takes over from the outgoing President, Y.K. Modi, at the conclusion of the 77th Annual Session of FICCI on Tuesday.

Kanwar is CMD of Apollo Tyres Ltd. A FICCI statement said Saroj Kumar Poddar has become Senior Vice-President. Poddar is Chairman of Poddar Heritage Enterprise and Chairman of the Alstom group of companies.

Habil Khorakiwala, Chairman of Wockhardt Ltd, has been elected as Vice-President. He is also President of the Indian Pharmaceutical Alliance (IPA), an industry association of the top 12 Indian pharmaceutical companies.
