Tsunamis damage estimated at $ 14 billion
New Delhi:
The tsunami disaster is likely to have caused economic damage of more than $14 billion. This is likely to compound what was already the most expensive year in history for insurers.

But the world's largest reinsurer Munich Re says insurers were likely to pick up only a small portion of that tab. This was so since the disaster mainly affected the under-developed regions.
