Markets: A marginal rebound
Mumbai: Markets rebounded in the last hour of trades despite witnessing selling pressure earlier in the session. Recovery was mainly on the back of significant gains in select stocks in banking and cement. Analysts say that FIIs as a whole are looking at other emerging markets in Asia as well as the Indian market is looking quite expensive particularly relative to other Asian markets like Taiwan and Malaysia.

TCS makes its entry in the Nifty index from Feb.25
Mumbai: NSE has included Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in its S&P CNX Nifty index. TCS replaces another Tata group company Indian Hotels.

The exchange has also included TCS in CNX IT index by replacing Visualsoft Technologies.

These changes come into effect from February 25 said a release from India Index Services, the company which manages NSE's indices.

Principal PNB joins Bajaj Allianz for advisory services
Mumbai: Principal PNB Asset Management will partner Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance Company to provide investment advisory services. Under the partnership, Principal PNB AMC would advise Bajaj Allianz on investments in the mid cap universe on a stock-to-stock basis. DSP Merrill Lynch advises Bajaj Allianz on its investments in top 50 stocks.

The total corpus of the insurance company is around Rs500 crore, of which, Rs110 crore is in equity, the company has said.

Though stock advice, for the Rs 110-crore equity corpus, is being provided by asset management companies, the management of the same is in-house as per IRDA norms, the company said.

Shringar Cinemas to go public
Mumbai: Shringar Cinemas Ltd, a top line film exhibition and distribution company operating out of Mumbai, is entering the capital market with a public issue of 81.5 lakh shares of Rs10 each through a book building route.

Of this issue, 2.5 lakh shares are reserved for employees and of the balance 50 per cent for qualified institutional buyers on discretionary basis, 25 per cent for non-institutional bidders and 25 per cent for retail individual bidders both on proportionate basis. The book running lead managers to the issue are Enam Financial Consultants Private Ltd and JM Morgan Stanley Private Ltd.

The company filed a draft Red Herring Prospectus with the Securities and Exchange Board of India on January 14.

The funds accruing out of the issue will be deployed for expansion of its multiplex network across cities.
