New PDEXCIL office-bearers
Coimbatore: M.Y. Momin has been elected the new Chairman of the Powerloom Development and Export Promotion Council (PDEXCIL) for the years 2005-06/2006-07.

The other office-bearers of the Council elected at the meeting of the Committee of Administration of the PDEXCIL held in Mumbai on January 4, are K. Marappan (Vice-Chairman for the Southern Region), and Arif M. Hussain (Vice-Chairman for the Central Region).

M.S. Mathivanan has been elected the Convener of the Export Promotion Panel of the Council, said a PDEXCIL press release.

Coca-Cola marketing honchos quit
New Delhi: Coca-Cola India's Vice-President, Marketing, Shripad Nadkarni, has put in his papers. Also following suit is the company's Director, Marketing, Ms Sharda Agarwal. Both are leaving to start a strategic marketing consultancy.

During the four years Nadkarni spent at Coke, the company launched some memorable advertising campaigns including "thanda matlab Coca Cola", starring Aamir Khan.
