BoA second outsourcing unit to be located in Mumbai
San Francisco: The Bank of America Corp (BoA) has announced the opening of a second unit in Mumbai which will work largely for the global corporate and investment banking unit.

The second unit in Mumbai, which will open in summer, will handle the bank's 'next generation' of work and will be part of the bank's Continuum Solutions subsidiary, bank's officials have said. It will mainly do market research and prepare presentations for bank executives working with corporate clients.

According to the bank, the bank's initial outsourcing operation in Hyderabad has 'exceeded expectations', with the bank not only able to hire more highly skilled workers than expected, but also learning their jobs faster than anticipated. The Hyderabad operation, which began with the handling of corporate accounts has added consumer accounts to its portfolio as well.

Dhanalakshmi Bank to install 100 ATMs by September
Kochi: The Dhanalakshmi Bank is planning to install 100 ATMs across the country by the end of September. The bank has outsourced ATM deployment from Euronet Services India Pvt Ltd.

The bank has become a member of the Cashnet Network, enabling its customers access to the networked ATMs of the member-banks such as Citibank, IDBI Bank, UTI Bank, Corporation Bank, Centurion Bank, Bank of Punjab and Development Credit Bank.

The bank also plans to join the National Financial Switch of the Institute for Development and Research in Banking Technology to enable its customers to have access to more than 10,000 ATMs in the country.
