Mumbai:
On the back of a broad rally the stock market indices touched all time highs
with the benchmark Sensex gaining 97 points or 1.4 per cent, closing at an
all-time high at 6,784. In the broader markets, the 50-share NSE Nifty was
up 35 points or 1.7 per cent to end at 2,128. The midcaps moved up with the
CNX Midcap 200 index gaining 41 points or 1.4 per cent at 2,847. The Bankex
BSE gained 1.1 per cent to 4,002.

ONGC up Rs31.7 or 3.7 per cent to close at Rs888. Reliance Industries moved
up by Rs10 or 1.8 per cent to close at Rs559. FMCG giant Hindustan Lever gained

announces price band for public offer
New Delhi: The Punjab National Bank has announced a price band of Rs350-390
per share for its second public offer. The issue is slated to open on March
7.
At the lower end of the price band, the bank is expected to raise Rs2,800
crore, bank officials said in a statement. At the upper end, the bank is set
to collect Rs3,120 crore.
After the issue of eight crore shares with this public offer, Government's

cent. The
issue would improve the bank's capital base allowing it to meet the Basel
II norms and increased business requirements. The minimum application will
be for 15 shares and its multiples thereof. Of
the shares on offer, PNB has reserved 10 per cent or 80 lakh shares for the
existing small shareholders and an equivalent proportion for employees. The
remaining 6.4 crore shares would be offered to public. A
minimum 35 per cent of the net offering has been reserved for retail individual
investors who can bid for equity shares up to Rs1 lakh in value. 50 per cent
of the net offering will be reserved for qualified institutional buyers whereas
minimum 15 per cent has been reserved for non-institutional bidder.
