OPEC
impact: Crude prices rise
Vienna: Oil prices rose marginally as OPEC announced
that the group would not raise its formal output ceiling.
Light,
sweet crude for May delivery was up 18 cents at $54.23
a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. An intra-day
high of US$57.60 was set March 17.
In
London, Brent crude futures fell 87 cents to $53.03 per
barrel on the International Petroleum Exchange.
Gasoline
futures were steady at $1.573 per gallon on NYMEX in New
York.
