Jindal is chairperson of Jindal group
New Delhi: Ms Savitri Jindal has become the Jindal
Group Chairperson, succeeding her late husband O.P. Jindal,
following a board meeting of Jindal Steel & Power
Ltd. The meeting appointed her as an additional director
and chairperson of the board.
At each of the recent board meetings of the four companies
controlled by her four sons, Ms Savitri Jindal was appointed
chairperson of the board, making her the overall chairperson
of the Rs13,000-crore Jindal Group.
The eldest son Prithvi Raj Jindal controls Jindal Saw
Ltd (around Rs1,700 crore) and its group companies. The
second son Sajjan Jindal controls Jindal Vijayanagar Steel
Ltd (around Rs5,000 crore). The third son Ratan Jindal
controls Jindal Stainless Ltd (Rs3,000 crore), the largest
stainless steel company in the country, and the youngest
Naveen Jindal controls Jindal Steel and Power Ltd (Rs2,500
crore), the largest coal-based sponge iron company in
the country.

UB
gets new Executive V-P
New Delhi: The UB group has appointed Ms Nandini Verma
as Executive Vice-President, Corporate Affairs. Vijay
Mallya, Chairman of the UB Group, announced this at a
press conference on Wednesday.
Ms Verma, who has held several important positions including
being Vice-President, Jet Airways, will be based in Delhi.
