Udyog Ratna award for Ravi Nedungadi, CFO, UB group
Bangalore: Ravi Nedungadi, President & Chief Financial Officer of the UB group, has been conferred with the Udyog Ratna Award by the Institute of Economic Studies.

Nedungadi is credited with bringing in a sea change and transparency to the financial operations in the UB group. He played a key role in the recent acquisition of Shaw Wallace & Co by UB for Rs1,300 crore.

He was also instrumental in the Rs940-crore deal between Scottish & Newcastle Plc and UB last year, a company statement said.

State Bank of Hyderabad appointments
Hyderabad: Sebastian Chacko and P.C. Thomas, Deputy General Managers at State Bank of Hyderabad, have been promoted as General Managers and posted to State Bank of Patiala and State Bank of Indore respectively, according to a bank release.
