Alan
Samuel to head Tata Interactive Systems, UK
London: Alan Samuel has been appointed as the UK head
of operations at Tata Interactive Systems (TIS), the global
e-learning pioneer. Samuel has been heading up TIS's activities
within the publishing and education sector of the UK market,
as well as looking after the requirements of TIS customers
British Airways and the Royal Mail for the last four years
or so.
Before joining TIS Alan Samuel spent a number of years
working within the Tata Group of Companies.
TIS, which provides custom-built e-learning materials
and related consultancy services across all sectors of
the UK economy, including the education and public sectors,
is continuing to further develop its UK-based instructional
design, project management and technical consultancy activities.
It now employs some 20 people in the UK, which places
TIS among the largest developers of e-learning in the
UK - not only in terms of turnover but also in terms of
headcount.
TIS officials said that having grown rapidly, by over
45 per cent CAGR, in the last decade, TIS is poised for
further expansion and utilisation of market opportunities.
Tata Interactive Systems (TIS) is a global pioneer in

TIS employ a global team of 850 multi-disciplinary specialists

Saluja
is new IIPE chief
New Delhi: The Managing Director of Indo-Russian joint
venture company, Romelt-SAIL (India) Ltd, J.S. Saluja,
has taken over as the Chairman of Management Committee
of Indian Institution of Plant Engineers (IIPE) for the
year 2005-06.
The Director (Tech), Steel Authority of India Ltd, K.K.
Khanna, was appointed as Chairman of steel division of
IIPE.
