Islamic
Development Bank to set up office
Kuala Lumpur: The Islamic Development Bank, the financial
institution of the world's largest Islamic grouping, will
next week set up a trade financing office for its member
countries to raise the business profile of Muslim countries,
an official said Tuesday.
The new entity will be formally launched during the June
20-24 annual meeting in Kuala Lumpur of the board of governors
of the Islamic Development Bank, the main multilateral
lending agency of the Organization of the Islamic Conference,
said the official.
