UB reshuffles top finance portfolio
Bangalore: The UB Group has made some changes in its top-level finance team.

While A. Harish Bhat has been appointed executive vice president of group finance, he will be responsible for the group's corporate finance activities, including promoter funding, equity and debt raising, mergers, acquisitions and reorganisations.

Before this Bhat was the executive vice president of the spirits division of the UB Group.

P A Murali has been appointed as the chief financial officer of United Spirits, comprising McDowell & Company Ltd, Herbertsons Ltd, Triumph Distillers and Vintners (TDV) Ltd and Shaw Wallace and Company (SWC) Ltd. Murali was the executive vice president (finance) of United Breweries (UB).

Bhat and Murali will report to Ravi Nedungadi, president and CFO of the UB Group.

HMA appoints office-bearers
Hyderabad:
S Sivakumar, chief executive officer, Agri-businesses, ITC has been elected president of Hyderabad Management Association (HMA) for 2005-06.

C Sudhir Babu, executive director, Brilliant Securities has been appointed vice president while Amar Chegu, director, Cosmic Management Services (Pvt) is the new Secretary. Naresh Chandra Gelli, of Grandhy & Co has been appointed joint secretary.
