A.S.Rao is new chief of Vizag HPCL
Visakhapatnam: A.S. Rao assumed charge here on Sunday as the General Manager in-charge of the Visakhapatnam Refinery of the Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) taking over from D.K. Deshpande.

Rao is a graduate from Andhra University in chemical engineering, and also a post-graduate in the same discipline from IIT, Kharagpur.

He served in various public sector undertakings and private companies and joined the HPCL in 1981. He has worked in various departments such as projects, technical and material.

He has also worked in the corporate headquarters in Mumbai.
