Ratan
Tata receives honorary doctorate from Univ. of Warwick
New
Delhi:
The University of Warwick in UK has conferred an honorary
doctorate on leading industrialist and Tata Group chairman
Ratan Tata on Wednesday.
Awarding
the degree, founder and director of the University of
Warwick's, Warwick Manufacturing Group, Lord Bhattacharya
said: "Ratan Tata's modesty and lack of ostentation
belie his standing as one of the world's leading business
figures.
"I
am delighted that the university has chosen to honour
him with this doctorate."
Ratan
Tata holds a B.Sc. degree from Cornell University in architecture
in 1962, said a press release here.
He
also completed an advanced management programme conducted
by Harvard University in 1974-75.
