Chandrashekar is Wipro's US and Europe sales head
Bangalore: Wipro's
head of sales for America, Rich Garnick, has resigned.
Garnick will now be the second senior executive to leave
the company after Vivek Paul, vice chairman and CEO, who
quit last month.
Wipro,
in a press release, said Garnick had resigned after four
years at the company and announced the appointment of
P R Chandrashekar in his place, who has been leading the
European operations as the chief executive of America
and Europe.
In
his earlier roles in the company, Chandrashekar had been
responsible for global mergers and acquisitions and channel
development. He said North America was the largest market
and he was "very excited" by the growth opportunity
there.
Chandrashekar
will relocate to the US, while working closely with the
strong team he leads in Europe, the release said.

Raju is now chief mentor of VisualSoft
Hyderabad: The chairman and managing director of
VisualSoft Technologies Ltd, D V S Raju, is stepping down
as managing director of the company to pave the way for
Sudhakar R Gunturu.
Raju,
who started the company in December 1995, will continue
as the non-executive chairman and chief mentor.
V.
Krishnan, vice president, finance, has been entrusted
the task of chief financial officer. Recently, Krishnam
Raju, its founder finance dsirector, stepped down.
Raju
hinted that he would train his attention on the infrastructure
sector, into which he has forayed in his individual capacity
a couple of years ago.
He
is part of a consortium entrusted with the task of developing
Gangavaram port. Others engaged in the project include
Dubai Ports.
