Biotechnologist G. Padmanabhan bags Gujar Mal Modi award
Bangalore: Prof G. Padmanabhan, biotechnologist and former Director of the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, has been honoured with the Gujar Mal Modi Award for `Innovative Science and Technology' for the year 2005.

Prof Padmanabhan has been credited with valuable contributions in research related to generation of modern vaccine initiatives against infectious diseases.

The award will be presented to Prof. Padmanabhan by the Defence Minister, Pranab Mukherjee.
