Bharat Forge appoints Dr. I.U. Loos as Director
Mumbai: Bharat Forge Ltd (BFL) on Wednesday said that Dr I.U. Loos has been appointed as a director of the company, effective August 1.

According to a company release, Loos has previously served with Porsche AG as member of its management board and was chairman at FAG and DEKRA.

He has also been associated with Seimens, Krupp, INA and GKN.

Star's Jamie Davis to head ESPN-Star Sports
New Delhi: The Board of Directors of ESPN-Star Sports has appointed Jamie Davis as the company's next Managing Director with effect from September 1, 2005.

Davis was till recently the President of Star China and succeeds Rik Dovey who has put in his papers.

In a statement, Star and ESPN International said, "Our joint venture marks its ninth year in November and has enjoyed numerous successes under Rik Dovey's leadership. Mr Jamie Davis will bring to ESPN-Star Sports strong industry credentials and a proven financial and business background. The board is confident that under Jamie's leadership and with the management team, ESPN- Star Sports will continue to grow in strength and remain the number one sports broadcaster in Asia."

Davis' international broadcast experience includes stints at CBS Sports, Fox Sports and Star in Hong Kong and China.

Sivaramkrishnan is new V-P Marketing at Ford India
Chennai: V. Sivaramakrishnan has taken over as Vice-President - Marketing, Sales and Service at Ford India.

He was earlier General Manager, Sales and Distribution Launch Leader, and takes over from Vinay Piparsania, who has moved to Thailand to work on Ford operations in the region.

As distribution launch leader, Sivaramakrishnan handled Ford India's network preparedness and market readiness for new model launches.

He was also Product Marketing Manager for Ford Asia-Pacific between June 2001 and August 2003 and was posted in the UK.
