Dasgupta appointed CEO and MD of Petronet LNG
New
Delhi: Prosad Dasgupta, former director (finance)
in Petronet LNG has been appointed CEO and managing director
of the company, replacing Suresh Mathur, who completed
his tenure a few weeks ago.
Petronet
LNG is a joint venture promoted by state-owned oil companies.
Petronet
LNG operates a five million tonne-capacity liquefied natural
gas (LNG) re-gassification terminal at Dahej in Gujarat
and is in the process of setting up another 2.5 million
tonne-capacity terminal at Kochi in Kerala. The Dahej
terminal is currently being expanded to double its capacity.
Prior
to joining Petronet LNG, Dasgupta was the chief financial
officer at Essar Telecom and has also served with various
companies such as Apollo Tyres, Hero Honda Motors, Eicher
Group of Companies and TELCO.
