Google
founders listed in Forbes list of wealthy Americans
New York: Google Inc's two co founders have entered
the Forbes magazine's list of the 400 richest Americans
after the company's mammoth initial public offering closed.
The
Forbes list of the 400 richest Americans is topped
by Bill Gates, Microsoft Corp's co-founder and chairman,
(net worth $51 billion), for the 11th straight year followed
by Warren Buffett's $40 billion, Berkshire Hathaway Inc.
chairman and chief executive.
Google
founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page were ranked 16th by
Forbes with $11 billion each, up from no. 43 last year
when they each had a net worth of $4 billion.
Google
went public last year, and returned to the capital markets
this month with a follow-up offering of shares that raised
$4.18 billion. The company has earned $1 billion since
going public.
Collectively,
the top 10 richest Americans saw their collective net
worth climb $125 billion, the magazine said. The poorest
members of the list each had a net worth of $900 million.

appointments at Infosys
Bangalore:
Director and co-founder, Infosys Technologies, S D
Shibulal has been given appointed the global sales head
of the company on the resignation of Basab Pradhan.
Shibulal served as a director at Infosys from 1984 to
1991. From 1981 to 1991, Shibulal worked for Infosys in
the US on projects in manufacturing and retail industries.
According to Infosys, Shibulal is responsible for the
performance of practice units in terms of constant improvement
in the quality of customer deliverables, timelines, profits
and targets, and employee productivity.
Infosys has also announced the appointment of Bikramjit
Maitra as head-HRD after its vice-president -HR Hema Ravichander
quit the company. Mohandas Pai retains the post of CFO
and will also hold the post of director HR at Infosys.
