Citigroup chief meets Manmohan Singh
New Delhi: Citigroup group CEO, Charles O Prince, had a series of meetings with senior government officials in India including prime minister Manmohan Singh and the finance minister P Chidambaram.

The Citigroup head's meeting with Singh and Chidambaram lasted for about 20 minutes each in the morning.

Prince is slated to meet RBI officials and the Citibank employees during his two-day visit, a Citibank official said here.

Salil Kapoor appointed marketing head, Microsoft, consumer audience
Mumbai: Salil Kapoor , ex-marketing head of LG Electronics India, has been appointed marketing head, consumer audience, Microsoft India.

Kapoor's recruitment suggests the company is laying greater stress on marketing. The company's marketing efforts till now have concentrated on the corporate sector and public sector clients.

At LG, Kapoor was promoted as marketing head a year ago for his performance in the AC division of the company, which saw record sales growth from 18 per cent to 40 per cent.

Kapoor completed his mechanical engineering from Bangalore and business graduation from FMS (Delhi).
