Diploma course in commodities trading
Mumbai: The Welingkar Institute of Management Development & Research, Mumbai and Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX), will jointly offer a unique program -namely a diploma in Commodities Trading (DICT). This diploma is a first time industry-academia joint exercise in the commodities market segment. Dr Kewal Ram, board member, Forward Markets Commission, inaugurated the course.

According to Jignesh Shah, MD & CEO MCX, "The commodity market in India is on the threshold of a new take-off. In its very first year of operations, online commodities futures trading volume in India has clocked an annual turnover of Rs14,000 crore and is estimated to cross Rs1 lakh crore during this fiscal.
