Chidambaram asks Murthy to return
Bangalore: The finance minister, P. Chidambaram, reportedly unhappy over the controversy of Infosys chief N.R. Narayana Murthy quitting the chairmanship of Bangalore International Airport, said efforts were being made to request him to withdraw his resignation.

Chidambaram said, "I am unhappy that there is a controversy. I think efforts are already being made to request Sri Narayana Murthy to withdraw his resignation and continue as chairman of BIAL," he said on the sidelines of a function.

Vallent appoints new VP to spearhead growth in Asia Pacific region
Hyderabad: Vallent Corporation, formerly WatchMark-Comnitel and Metrica, has appointed David Burks as its new vice president sales and general manager for the Asia Pacific region.

Burks has over twenty years of experience including more than fifteen spent in senior management roles in the APAC region. Initially, he worked for BT before moving to Kenan Systems, which was later acquired by Lucent and then CSG Systems. His most recent position was with Metasolv Software as its Asia Pacific vice president.
