Chakrabarti appointed CMD of New India Assurance
New Delhi: B. Chakrabarti has been appointed as the new chairman and managing director of New India Assurance Co. Chakrabarti is at present the CMD of National Insurance and will assume his new duties October 31, after the incumbent, R. Beri, retires.

V. Ramasaamy, general manager, United India Insurance Company, will replace Chakrabarti as the CMD, National Insurance Company, with effect from October 31.
