Firdose Vandrevala exits Tata Group - to head Motorola India
New Delhi:
Motorola Inc on Wednesday named Firdose A. Vandrevala as the head of its India operations. Vandrevala was earlier the chairman of Tata Teleservices and has spent 33 years with the Tata Group in different capacities in the steel, power and telecom sectors.

Speaking on Vandrewala's appointment, the Motorola regional president, Asia-Pacific, Simon Leung, said "Motorola places high importance on the India market as part of its global strategy."

Vandrevala will also be responsible for enhancing Motorola's ability to support integrated solutions for customers.

Fowler to be new CEO of SumTotal
Hyderabad:
SumTotal Systems Inc, a learning technologies company, has announced that Donald E Fowler has been appointed CEO, effective immediately.

An experienced Silicon Valley executive, Fowler has been serving as interim CEO since October 19. He previously served as chairman of the board of SumTotal and Docent, which merged with Click2learn in March 2004 to form SumTotal.
