Subhash
Chandra steps down as MD, Zee Tele
Mumbai: Subhash Chandra, chairman and managing
director, Zee Telefilms Ltd, has stepped down from the
post of managing director.
The
company informed the BSE that in view of the strengthening
of the executive management by the appointment of whole-time
directors - Laxmi N. Goel and Punit Goenka - and the appointment
of Pradeep Guha as chief executive officer, Chandra has
relinquished his office of Managing Director.
He
continues to be non-executive Chairman of the company
and remains its principal promoter.

Talwar, one of the non-executive independent directors,
has resigned as director of the company citing personal
reasons.

Balvinder
Kalsi is country president for DuPont India
New
Delhi: Dupont India has announced the appointment
of Balvinder Singh Kalsi, executive director, DuPont India
and Business Director, South Asia, DuPont Crop Protection,
as its new country president. He takes over from Henrique
H. Ubrig who retired on November 30 after 27 years of
service with DuPont.
Kalsi
joined DuPont in 1991, and has held various positions,
including finance and business leadership, in the company.

Nish
Patel is new MD of Alfa Laval India
Pune: Nish Patel takes over as managing director
of the Pune-based Alfa Laval India Ltd. Patel was previously
involved in restructuring the company's UK operations.
A
chemical engineer, he began his career at British Steel
before moving to Alfa Laval, UK. From a design engineer,
he moved to sales management, general management and,
in 1995, became managing director of Alfa Laval Thermal
Ltd.
He
stayed in charge till 1998, when a major overhaul merged
all the legal entities of Alfa Laval's UK businesses to
create Alfa Laval Ltd in 2001.

Sharma is vice-president, R&D at Telsima
Bangalore:
Telsima Communications, a provider of wireless access
products has announced the appointment of Raj Sharma as
vice-president - R&D and operations for the Indian
subcontinent. This Indian subsidiary of the California-based
Telsima Inc is headed by Vinod Dham, popularly known as
the `Father of Pentium' for his work at Intel.
Sharma
has over 25 years of experience in networking and communications
products. He has worked at Luminous Networks, 3Com, Sun,
National Semiconductor, and Apple Computers.
He
has also associated with several emerging technologies
and protocols including Ethernet, Control net, ATM, MLPPP,
SSL, SS7, DOCSIS, RPR, Metro Ethernet, SDH and MPLS.
