Neville
Roach to head TCS-FNS
Mumbai: Tata Consultancy Services has announced
the appointment of Neville Roach as chairman of its Australian
company TCS-FNS, and also as an advisor to TCS Australia.
TCS-FNS
has been set up by TCS for the acquisition of the core
banking solutions company, the Sydney-based Financial
Network Services (FNS).
Roach
has spent 15 years with IBM and has also been chairman
and CEO of Fujitsu Australia, according to a news release
from TCS. He is also on several Federal and State ICT
industry development committees. He is ex-chairman of
the Australia India Business council.

Ramadorai, CEO and managing director of TCS has said that
the appointment will help TCS Australia become a major
force in the Australian market.

Bibek
Debroy is Secretary General, PHDCCI
New Delhi: Bibek Debroy has taken over as the new
Secretary General of PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry
(PHDCCI) from January 1, taking over from Dr B.P. Dhaka.
Debroy
has served as the Director of the Rajiv Gandhi Institute
for Contemporary Studies (RGICS), Rajiv Gandhi Foundation,
New Delhi, before this appointment. Debroy is a professional
economist, and has been educated at the Presidency College
(Kolkata), the Delhi School of Economics and the Trinity
College (Cambridge).

Ayyappan is new CMD at Hind Latex
Thiruvananthapuram: M. Ayyappan, Managing Director
of Hindustan Latex Ltd (HLL), has been elevated as Chairman
and Managing Director of the company.
An
engineering graduate from the College of Engineering,
Thiruvananthapuram, Ayyappan did his MBA degree at the
Cochin University of Science and Technology. He had taken
over as the head of the marketing department in 1991.

Shantilal
Daga in IFAC's developing nations committee
Hyderabad: The Institute of Chartered Accountants
of India (ICAI) has announced that the US-based International
Federation of Accountants (IFAC) has appointed its central
council member, Shantilal Daga, to the Developing Nations
Committee for a period of two years. Daga will represent
India on behalf of ICAI.
The IFAC is the worldwide organisation for accountancy
profession.
In
a press release, the ICAI said that the New York headquartered
IFAC is represented by 160 professional bodies of 120
countries. Its mission is to serve the public interest
and strengthen the worldwide accountancy profession. The
objective of the Developing Nations Committee is to support
the development of the accounting profession, particularly
in developing nations by aiding their participation in
the international standard setting process.
