Guwahati: Chairman and managing director of Oil India Limited (OIL) R K Dutta has been given the "Lifetime Achievement Award" for his contribution to the hydrocarbon industry and the company itself.

In Dutta's absence, his wife Julie Dutta received the award from Dr R A Chidambaram, principal scientific advisor to the government of India. The OIL CMD is currently in China as a member of a high level Indian delegation.
