Harvard Prof. Clayton Christensen to be independent director on TCS board
Mumbai: Tata Consultancy Services has expanded its Board of Directors with the appointment of Professor Clayton Christensen as an Independent Director. Christensen is best known for his work on "disruptive innovations."

Prof. Christensen is the Robert and Jane Cizik professor of business administration at the Harvard Business School, with a joint appointment in the technology and operations management and general management faculty groups. His research and teaching interests centre on the management of technological innovation, developing organizational capabilities, finding new markets for emerging technologies.

Prof. Christensen is the author of the best selling books The Innovators Dilemma (1997), which received the Global Business Book Award for the best business book published in 1997, and The Innovator's Solution (2003).

Following the appointment of Prof. Christensen, the TCS Board of directors now consists of a total of six members of which four, Aman Mehta, Naresh Chandra, V Thyagarajan and Prof. Christensen, are independent directors. The other two directors are chairman Ratan Tata and CEO and managing director, S. Ramadorai.

Srinivas is new director at MTV Networks
Mumbai: MTV Networks India has announced the appointment of Srinivas Gopal as director - Digital (Online, Interactive and Mobile).

As Director - Digital, Srinivas's key responsibility will be to position MTV, Nickelodeon and VH1 as leaders in the emerging digital market space in India.

Srinivas moves to MTV from Times Internet Ltd, where he was the western region head (indiatimes mobile division), responsible for managing the mobile operator alliance and driving wireless marketing initiatives for well-known brands.

Srinivas brings with him over eleven years of experience, starting his career with Paper Products Ltd, thereafter moving to Sify, BPL Mobile and finally to Times Internet Ltd, where he spent the last two years.
