N K Pandey gets B C Roy award
New Delhi: Well Known surgeon Dr N K Pandey will receive the prestigious Dr B C Roy Award for 2005. Pandey is the executive director of Escorts Hospital and Research Centre, Faridabad. A fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh a s well as the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, Pandey is known for his pioneering work in Minimal Access surgery. He is the President-elect of International College of Surgeons (Indian Section), secretary of Indian Chapter of American College Surgeons and governing council member of the Association of Surgeons of India.

The award carries a silver plate, a citation and Rs1 lakh in cash.

New appointments at Fortis Healthcare
New Delhi: Fortis Healthcare has appointed Shivender Mohan Singh as managing director of the healthcare company. He was earlier the joint managing director of the company. Daljit Singh has been appointed as the CEO of the company with full responsibility of the healthcare delivery business.
