V Raman appointed CDG country head for India
New Delhi: The CDMA Development Group (CDG) which
has established a permanent office in New Delhi to promote
CDMA technology in the country has appointed B V Raman
as its country head for India.
Raman will be responsible for carrying out activities
in support of CDG objectives in the region and will be
working closely with CDMA operators, manufacturers and
industry interest groups to ensure the continued growth
of CDMA in the Indian market.
Raman has over 30 years of professional telecommunication
and technology experience, including leadership roles
at Reliance Infocomm, Motorola, Modi Xerox and IBM World
Trade Corporation.

Bank shareholder-directors
Mumbai: Chintaman M. Dixit, Anup Mehta and Anil
K. Gupta have been elected as shareholder directors
on Dena Bank's board of directors at the EGM held in Mumbai
on Friday. They will serve on the board for three years.

Ninu Khanna seen to head Reliance Retail's
FMCG unit
Bangalore: Ninu Khanna, Bombay Dyeing's former
MD may head Reliance Retail's FMCG vertical.
Khanna is likely to join Rajeev Karwal, Raghu Pillai and
Bijou Kurien in spearheading Mukesh Ambani's mega retail
roll-out, sources said. Reliance Retail has carved out
its operations into 14 verticals, each under an individual
head who will report to Manoj Modi who is part of the
retail subsidiary's three-member board. The other members
are Mukesh Ambani and Deepak Jain, dean of the Kellogg
School of Management. The board will be expanded closer
to the rollout date.
