FIEO agro panel to draft roadmap for the creation of two million jobs
Mangalore:
The FIEO committee on Agro Exports will draft a comprehensive road map to assist the Union ministry of commerce in achieving its target of creating two million additional jobs.

In a release, Walter D'Souza, convenor of the FIEO Committee on Agro Exports and AEZ, said that the target of achieving exports of the order of $120bn in 2006-07 sounds logical, and given the right incentives was achievable.

However, generation of two million additional jobs vis-à-vis the 20 per cent growth in dollar terms is too ambitious without having a re-look at the same in key areas of agro exports.
