Radhakrishnan
appointed
president,
TVS Motor
Chennai: TVS Motor Company has appointed K.N. Radhakrishnan
as President of the company. The 43-year-old Radhakrishnan
holds an M.Tech from IIT Chennai and is the youngest person
to hold the post of President.
Radhakrishnan
joined TVS Motor Company in September 2000 as general
manager (business planning) and was soon promoted as vice-president
(business planning). In September 2004, he was elevated
to the post of executive vice-president.
Prior
to joining TVS Motor Company, Radhakrishnan was the head
of Business Planning and Human Resources at Sundaram-Clayton,
another company of the TVS group.
"An
expert in TQM and planning, Mr Radhakrishnan was instrumental
in implementing the TQM programme at Sundaram-Clayton
and later at TVS Motor Company. His initiative and drive
enabled the two companies to win the Deming Prize in 1998
and 2002," a release from the company said.

official receives award
Hyderabad: State Bank of Hyderabad has awarded
its assistant general manager (PR & Liaison), D. Virinchi,
with the `Best Public Relations Manager for 2005-06' by
the Public Relations Society of India. The director-general
of Field Publicity, V.S.S. Murthy, presented the award
at a function.
