Mahajan's
death condoled by Nasscom
New
Delhi: The National association of software and service
companies (Nasscom) has condoled the death of former IT
and communications minister Pramod Mahajan.
"Nasscom and the entire it industry are deeply saddened
by the tragic demise of Pramod Mahajan. We share the grief
of fellow Indians at his death, and express our condolences
to his family," Nasscom said in a statement.
When
Mahajan became India's first IT minister in 1999, he played
a vigorous, dynamic and pro-active role in developing
the industry and making IT the poster-child of a vibrant
economic India, the statement said.

LG's
K.R. Kim gets additional charge
New Delhi: LG Electronics South West Asia operations
(including India) president K.R. Kim being given additional
charge of South East Asia and Australia. He will now be
responsible for operations in Asia and Australia except
Japan, Taiwan and China, said a company statement.
He
will continue to work out of India

MRPL
gets new MD
Mangalore: R. Rajamani has been promoted to the
position of managing director on the board of Mangalore
Refinery and Petrochemicals (MRPL).
A
press release said here on Wednesday that Rajamani assumed
charges of his new assignment on April 27. Rajamani, who
was the refinery in-charge till recently, joined MRPL
in 1993 as general manager (technical services). He was
promoted as vice-president in 2003, after Oil and Natural
Gas Corporation (ONGC) Ltd took over MRPL.
